School Uniform

What a child wears to school reflects his/her attitude to learning. Wearing a uniform is a badge of pride and is an important part of being a school child.  It also portrays the school’s ethos and shared positive values. Bearwood Primary School has a uniform that all children are expected to wear.

Please NAME all children’s belongings and supply a DRAWSTRING bag for them (not bulky bags).

 The uniform consists of:

 Winter: Grey tailored trousers, grey knee-length skirt or grey pinafore dress

              White shirt / polo shirt

              Navy printed school sweatshirt or cardigan with gold school logo

              Grey/black socks (not trainer socks)

              Black school shoes or all black plain trainers


 Summer: Grey shorts with grey socks

                 Navy (not light blue) gingham dress with white knee length or ankle socks


Do dress your child appropriately for the weather.


 For the sake of the child’s safety no open- toed sandals please.

 P.E.               Plain Shorts  No logos (Navy or Black)

                      Gold printed School PE T-shirt with navy school logo

                      Plimsolls/trainers – no high tops

                      Plain Track suit - No logos (Navy or Black)

                      All long hair to be tied up at all times

The PE kit should be in school all week and only taken home at half term or the weekend for washing.


Jewellery and valuable belongings should not be worn or brought to school.  If children have pierced ears only one stud earring in each ear may be worn at school.  Earrings must be removed for PE/games or micropore tape used to cover them. Analogue watches may be worn but must have a dark colour strap.   For safety reasons no other jewellery may be worn.


Please ensure that all hair shoulder length or longer is neatly tied back with a plain dark coloured hairband.   


Make-up of any kind is not permitted, this includes nail varnish.
